Why R-Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha lipoic acid exists in two mirror-image forms: the R-form and the S-form. The R-form is the one the body produces naturally and uses most efficiently. Standard alpha lipoic acid supplements contain a 50/50 mix of both forms, with the S-form contributing little therapeutic benefit and potentially interfering with the R-form's absorption and activity. By delivering only the R-form, this formula provides meaningfully more of what the body can actually use per milligram.
